This system, which is based on a single Central System and enables apartments to receive broadcasts, is called the Central Satellite System so that all apartment residents can benefit from high-definition satellite TV broadcasts in public living areas such as apartments, without the need for each subscriber to install a dish antenna.
So, what are the privileges offered by Central Satellite Systems? In this article, we will discuss all the questions about the Central Satellite System.
What is Central Satellite System and Why Is It Needed?
They are systems that eliminate the need for a dish antenna for each subscriber, provide equal quality signal to every subscriber, prevent visual pollution caused by antennas in buildings, and provide access to thousands of high-definition TV channels.
What are the Advantages of Central Satellite System?
There are many advantages of Central Satellite Systems, which are established for the collective benefit of people from digital satellite broadcasts used in apartments or institutions providing public living space services and prevent dish pollution.
Residents of apartments using Central Satellite Systems will have the chance to watch hundreds of television channels with the best image quality, with signals received from many satellite systems. With the Receiver satellite receiver, the residents of the building can watch private or encrypted channels at their own will. It offers the option of watching many channels such as sports channels with the use of extra satellites. The fact that each apartment does not use a separate dish antenna and the receiver is combined at a common point both provides an economic advantage and allows the exterior of the apartment to look more aesthetic. In addition, since each apartment will not have its own antenna, the problems experienced by the apartments themselves will be eliminated. If we briefly summarize the advantages of Central Satellite Systems:
Ready-to-use infrastructure.
Possibility to watch all channels available on the satellite.
To be able to watch broadcasts with digital quality.
No dish contamination on users' balconies or glass edges.
Ability to increase channel capacity.
Pretty simple to setup.
Opportunity to broadcast from a single center up to 28,672 subscribers thanks to Teknoline fiber optic products.
What are Central Satellite Systems Equipment?
With the Central Satellite Systems we offer as Teknoline, we can distribute many television and radio channels to more than one location. We provide services to many public living areas such as nursing homes, hotels, hostels, hospitals, holiday villages. This system works with a satellite antenna to be connected to a distribution center. This antenna then receives the signals and directs the selected channels to each location. The system administrator can change any or all of these channels. In addition, any user can access any channel at any time. All of this comes from a single satellite dish and digital antenna. This is what qualifies as a robust and comprehensive system with a distinct and inconspicuous exterior. So what are the equipment of Central Satellite Systems? We can list the equipment as follows:
Satellite
Teknoline zinc phosphate coated satellite dish antennas come in different diameters and sizes. In addition, Aluminum LNB arm is also available. They receive the transmitter waves received from the satellite and transmit them to the LNB.
Central LNB
LNB collects the transmitting waves received by the dish antenna from the satellite and transmits the signal from the satellite to the Central Satellite Switchboard. The TV transmits these signals via satellite cable.
Television Satellite Cable
As we mentioned above, it has the task of carrying signals.
Multiswitch
It collects the signals coming from the dish antenna in the switchboard and sends satellite and headend broadcasts to each of the flats via a single TV cable. Thanks to Teknoline fiber optic products, broadcasts can be sent from a single center to 28,672 subscribers. Thus, each flat can watch satellite broadcasts independently of each other.
Sat Socket
The cables drawn to the flat are connected to the sat socket. In this way, a satellite signal comes to each receiver to which the cables are connected.
Multiswitch Features
Multiswitch is a device placed between LNB and satellite receiver. From the receiver's point of view, the Multiswitch acts as an LNB providing signals in satellite polarization that must be requested using adequate control commands. Any receiver included in the distribution system must access any channel broadcast by a particular satellite.
In case of distributing signals from more satellites, the Multiswitch functions as a group of LNBs using several separate switches. Any receiver connected to it can access any channel broadcast by a particular satellite using standard control commands. We can list the general features of the Multiswitch types we produce as Teknoline family as follows:
Independent, highly isolated subscriber outputs
Ability to work in low signals thanks to the excess gain in subscriber outputs
Quad&Quattro LNB usage feature
Subscriber port protection up to 100 volts
100 m distribution length per subscriber
Led subscriber control system
Port locking feature
+4 Db equalizer to each subscriber output for excessive loss in high frequencies
1 Db gain difference between the first and last subscriber
Multiswitch consists of several satellite inputs. Each switch output is for a single cable entry. Any satellite to be received must be assigned 4 inputs. Each quad is connected to an LNB. When using Quattro LNB, proper interconnection with Multiswitch should be taken care of. Mixing cables causes loss of signal reception. Therefore, the satellite inputs of the Multiswitches are marked accordingly.
Fiber Optic Systems and Features
The Fiber Optic System consists of optically pure wires as thin as a human hair that can carry digital data between certain distances. Fiber Optic is long and thin as a hair. It has a structure made of pure glass. To summarize, this system of thin glass wires is a series of optical cables that can transmit the light signal over long distances. When thousands of these optical fibers come together, they form optical cables. With this combination, they are connected together with an outer cable protector. Thanks to Teknoline fiber optic products, broadcasting from a single center up to 28,672 subscribers
Optical Fibers come in two types:
Single Core Optical Multiswitch
Multi Core Optical Multiswitch
Single Core Optical Multiswitch
It is a fiber optic satellite distribution system form a Single Optic Core. Optical receiver and Multiswitch are in one box only. Voltage LED indicators are available. It also has high insulation properties. External TERR Input is also available with high performance and special power supply.
Single Core Optical Transmitter
It is a device that distributes the entered satellite signals over a single core fiber optic cable. It provides lossless distribution of satellite and terrestrial broadcasting to 64 different points from a single core fiber optic cable with the help of an optical splitter. By using fiber optic multiswitch or fiber optic receiver at transported points, the number of subscribers is increased by cascading. Models are offered according to different needs, suitable for projects.
Gain adjustment is available for each output. It has 5mw output power with SC/APC connector system and LNB short circuit protection circuit. The optionally adjustable manual AGC option system can be adjusted as you wish.
Single Core Optical Receiver
It converts the signal from fiber optic transmitter to coaxial signal. Thanks to the external terr input, extra camera, headend and QAM broadcasts can be entered. There are manual and AGC selection options for the output level, which are independent of each other. Thanks to its special case, it has a stylish appearance and maximum isolation feature.
Multi Core Fiber Optic System
They are systems in which each polarity is carried by fiber cables separately.
Multi Core Optical Multiswitch
Optical receiver and Multiswitch are in one box only. Gain adjustment is available for each input. High isolation is available with voltage led indicators. It has high performance and special power supply and external TERR input.
Multi Core Optical Transmitter
It is a device that distributes the entered satellite signals over different fiber optic cables for each polarity. It provides lossless distribution from 4 satellite and terrestrial broadcast fiber optic cables to 64 different points with the help of an optical splitter. By using fiber optic multiswitch or fiber optic receiver at transported points, the number of subscribers is increased by cascading. Models are offered according to different needs, suitable for projects.

Headend Systems and Features
The headend (SMATV), which is used in settlements such as hotels, residences, housing estates, estates, residences, does not need a satellite receiver to receive broadcasts thanks to the DVB-T, DVB-C tuner found in most of the current televisions, and it does not require a satellite receiver to receive broadcasts, and various sources such as camera, local broadcast, info broadcast. It allows it to be integrated into the system.
This system is much more economical than a separately installed system. In buildings where front-end and distribution installations are made, such as a central satellite system, there is no cost per TV channel, cost per apartment, room or TV device. Generally, a dish antenna is installed according to the amount of satellites with preferred channels. E.g; If broadcasting is to be received over two different satellites, 2 antennas are needed. The prominent elements within the main structure of the Headend satellite system are respectively; Dish Antenna, LNB, Coaxial cable, Multiswitch, Receiver, Modulator, Combiner and Connector.
Headend Systems are divided into two different titles. These; Analog Headend Systems and Digital Headend Systems.
